Domains cannot be renamed

A registered name cannot simply be edited into a different one. Register the new name and keep the old domain during the transition.

Prepare the new address

Connect hosting, HTTPS and email; check pages, forms and internal links before switching.

Map the old pages to the new ones

Use permanent redirects to corresponding pages and update canonical URLs and the sitemap. Changing domains does not guarantee better rankings. Follow Google’s site move guidance. Keep the old domain while email and redirects still depend on it.
