DNS settings for your domain

Where to edit DNS records and connect your domain to a website or email.

DNS records or nameservers?

Nameservers determine where your domain’s DNS zone is hosted. An A record maps a name to an IPv4 address, CNAME defines an alias, and MX identifies mail servers.

Changing records

  1. Get the required records from your hosting or email provider.
  2. Select your domain in your account and open its settings using the gear icon.
  3. If you use our nameservers, open DNS and review the existing records before saving changes.
  4. If your nameservers are external, edit the zone at that provider. The corresponding account tabs are unavailable with an explanation.

When changes appear

DNS answers are cached. Updates depend on TTL and the resolver cache used by each visitor, so everyone may not see a change at the same time.

Keep existing mail records when changing only the website address. For help with your domain, contact support.
